He rose to stardom by competing in major modeling and fitness competitions, eventually becoming known as one of Vietnam's most famed "gym model" figures. His transformation story and motivational content have helped him establish a substantial online following that includes over 50,000 followers on his dangquocdat1994 TikTok account.

Before fame

Raised in a modest household in Châu Đốc, An Giang, he spent his teen years struggling with confidence due to a poor complexion and being underweight, often becoming the target of bullying from peers. After receiving encouragement from his teachers and friends, he began working out-a choice that helped him gain over 20kg of muscle and ultimately led him into modeling and fitness coaching.

Trivia

In 2016, he reached Top 10 in Vietnamese Fitness Model 2016 and won Gương mặt Thể thao (Sports Face) at the Vietnam Fitness Model Search 2016. The following year, he also won "Most Promising Face" at the 2017 Vietnam Fashion International Competition. He appeared on the game show Quý Ông Hoàn Hảo (The Perfect Gentleman) in 2019.

Family life

He has stated that he grew up in a poor family and both of his parents worked labor jobs throughout his upbringing. He shares a son with his wife, Naly Oanh. In 2021, he shared a video on his self-titled YouTube channel in which he visited his grandparents. He has stated that he is a Buddhist.
