Sri Lankan illustrator, novelist, animator, and social media creator also known online as Author Grunt and known for creating humorous digital illustrations centered on the fictional couple Amir and Fathima which he shares on Instagram with over 370,000 followers. He is also known for being the author of Maybe They Won't.

Before fame

He developed his artistic abilities as a self-taught illustrator. He gained experience in graphic design, branding, writing, and digital marketing before becoming known for his original characters after he began sharing content on Instagram in 2024.

Trivia

He co-founded Woodland Publishing and has offered free wallpapers and commissioned illustrations through his website. He illustrated Hifza Nasar's children's book Green Falafels & Lamb in 2025. He released his debut novel Maybe They Won't in 2024.

Family life

He is from Mawanella, Sri Lanka. His uncles M.H.M. Shifa and N.M. Ameen participated in the launch of his debut novel.
