Ugandan journalist and radio broadcaster, renowned for his role as a lead presenter on BBC News and as the host of the "Africa Daily" podcast. He is also known for hosting the Ugandan version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Before Fame

He attended Makerere University where he graduated with a degree in legal studies. He began in the 1990s at Sanyu FM, one of Uganda's first private radio stations. His big break came when he co-hosted "The Big Breakfast" on 91.3 Capital FM as well as presenting for the Ugandan version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? in 2011. He relocated to London to join the BBC World Service as a presenter on Newsday in 2012.

Trivia

He co-moderated Uganda's first-ever televised presidential debate on January 15, 2016, alongside KTN journalist Nancy Kacungira. 

Family Life

He was born in Uganda. His family fled Uganda during Idi Amin's dictatorship so he spent his first twelve years in Kenya. He married Sara Shalita in 2003.
