Acclaimed Italian pianist known for his performances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He recorded the works of Mozart, Brahms, Bach, and other renowned composers.
At the age of nineteen, he won the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. Several years later, he was also the champion of the Leeds International Pianoforte Competition.
He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and later joined the faculty of his alma mater's music department.
He married fellow pianist Lucille Chung, whom he met at a piano competition in Japan.
He made a 2011 recording of the melodies and preludes of Sergei Rachmaninoff.
