Widely known for her food writing and photography on her blog Yummy Beet. In April 2016, she had her first cookbook, called Whole Books, published.
She began her Twitter account, where she began amassing a social media following for her blog, in June 2012.
Her photography and writing have appeared in The New York Times and on Food Network Canada. In 2015, she won the gold medal at that year's Taste Canada Food Writing Awards.
She was born and raised in Hamilton, Canada.
She and fellow chef Rachel Khoo are both known for their cookbooks and online social media presences.
