Andrey Kovalev

About

Russian entrepreneur and musician who is known as a performer, TV and radio host, and the leader of the Pilgrim Rock Group. He is also the owner of the EcoOffice group of companies, the Art & Food Sunflowers project, and the Grebnevo estate. His work includes the production of custom-made furniture. In the 90s he served as the head of the Mosprom intersectoral industrial concern, focused on uniting enterprises from different industries. He is the owner of the most prominent Moscow Taxi company, a media holding, and the second-largest pasta production company in Russia. 

Before Fame

He excelled at playing the violin and piano by the time he was preschool age. He considered going to the Moscow Conservatory to play double bass, but instead took his father's advice and went to the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University, graduating in 1979. His artistic interests led him to study for 3 years at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry.

Trivia

He has released several albums and recorded duets with artists such as Katya Lel, Diana Gurtskaya, and Danko. He created the heavy metal Pilgrim band in 2005. He has written over 700 songs and 5 books of poetry. His andreykovalev_russia TikTok account has 3.2 million followers. He makes regular videos where he speaks right to the camera, sharing information about business with his viewers as well as promoting the products he sells. 

Family Life

His mother was a singer at the Bolshoi Theater for 35 years and his father was a colonel of the Soviet Army. His children are Yuliya and Nikita.
