About
Indian Gujarati-language poet, writer, columnist, and stage host known for his poetry collections Gazal Purvak and Geet Purvak as well as for his contributions to modern Gujarati literature. He is also known for contributing to theater and film with his play Baa Ne Gher Baabo Aavyo being adapted into the Gujarati film Carry On Kesar in 2017. He is further known for his Instagram account @kaviankittrivedi where he shares Gujarati poetry, emotional quotes, and literary reflections that focus on relationships, life, and human emotions with over 200,000 followers.
Before fame
He attended Gujarat University and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He began writing poetry and became involved in Gujarati literary circles before gaining widespread recognition. He published his first major poetry collection Gazal Purvak in 2006 along with an essay collection titled Maitrivishwa. He continued writing and publishing books including Sambhare Re, Balpan Na Sambharna in 2011, Jivan Na Hakarno Photograph in 2014, and Sol Varas Ni Mosam in 2014.
Trivia
He received the Yuva Gaurav Puraskar in 2011. He won the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2016 for Gazal Purvak. He was honored with an honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) degree from Gujarat University in 2019. He is also known for his work as a columnist and emcee and regularly hosting literary and cultural events.
Family life
He was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He married Bhumika Trivedi in December 2010, and they have a daughter named Mitra.
