Because of his brutal abduction in broad daylight with family members present, his murder sparked fear and outrage in the Latinx communities of Beaumont. The lack of perceived response because of his ethnicity created a demand for equal justice. Serial killer Joseph Edward Duncan III was convicted of his death 24 years later.
Family Life
