Gymnast and hip hop dancer, she was on track to become part of the Olympic gymnastics team before a career-shattering car accident. She is well-known for her comeback after that accident and competing at UCLA from 2006 to 2009. Her story was adapted for the 2015 film Full Out.
While she was competing on the club level she was the 1999 Level 9 Westerns Champion and trained at SCEGA Gymnastics and South Coast Gymnastics.
After the accident, she couldn't get back into gymnastics so she put everything into hip hop and dance. She became the youngest member of the San Diego dance crew Culture shock. When Full Out was looking for a stunt double for gymnastics, she volunteered. She trained to get back into the shape she was in when she was a teenager.
Her parents are Howard and Susan. Susan was driving when they got rear-ended and pushed off the road. Ariana was in an induced coma for five days, suffering from two collapsed lungs, two broken legs, a broken wrist, a broken collarbone and cracked ribs.
Actress Ana Golja portrayed her in the 2015 film Full Out.
