Golf great who recorded an incredible 45 holes-in-one, won the Masters Tournament, and helped to establish the Champions Tour.
He started playing golf from an early age on his hometown's municipal golf course.
He was PGA Player of the Year in 1959, the same year he won the Masters Tour and finished at the top of the money list.
His brother, Dewey, was also a great golfer; unfortunately, he died in World War II.
He and Tommy Bolt paired up against Julius Boros and Roberto De Vicenzo in an exhibition match that later became the regular Champions Tour.
