Turkish journalist who is known for her political coverage on television, in press outlets, and in several of her own published books as well. She is best recognized for her work with the BBC as both a radio reporter and within their documentary department for Turkish news.
She started her career after earning her Master's degree from City University in London. She then started working as a writer for the Turkish magazine Surec in 1980 before joining the newspapers Gunaydin and Dunya. She made her television debut with the Turkish BBC network.
She has won several awards as a journalist including the Yurekli Women Award from the Istanbul Kultur University Faculty of Art and Design as well as the Contemporary Journalists Association's 2006 award for Television News.
She was born and raised in Eskisehir, Turkey.
