Meditation and mindfulness aficionado most well known as the author of the bestselling book The Practice: Simple Tools for Managing Stress, Finding Inner Peace, and Uncovering Happiness. She also founded the nonprofit Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life in 2011.
During the 1980s and 1990s, she studied religion, psychology, and meditation. She also founded the Spirit of Giving Network and served as the co-founder and president of Ronald McDonald Children Charities of South Florida.
She has taught meditation and mindfulness at numerous universities including Nova Southeastern University and Florida Atlantic University.
She settled with her husband, Dick, in Boca Raton, Florida. They have two children named David and Michelle. Michelle is also a contributor to Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life.
Throughout her three decade long career in mindfulness, she has studied under practitioners like Deepak Chopra and the Dalai Lama.
