Cleverly referred to as CannaBess, she is a photographer who is known for specializing in the photography of cannabis. She shares photos of plants she grows, modeling shots of cannabis enthusiasts including athletes and singers, as well as aesthetically green shots of smoke for her over 80,000 Instagram followers. With a passion for politics, she has also written for and been featured in several press outlets including Refinery 29, Polyglamorous, and Push Magazine.
She graduated from Washington State University with her BA in Public Relations. Upon graduation, she moved to Washington where she was offered a job from Western Cultured, an i502 grow. She quickly transitioned from growing to sales and marketing and in January of 2016, began working as a photographer for Grassworks Digital. Gaining access to different clients, she began freelance photographing.
She has worked in marketing research for a range of companies and has collaborated with clients such as Nike, Apple, Louis Vuitton, and Grey Goose. She also has a cat named Barry White who occasionally appears on her Instagram.
She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She got her first camera, a Nikon D60, from her dad who inspired her career.
