About
Cuban American springboard diver and reality television champion known for competing for the University of Miami, representing USA Diving, winning multiple USA Diving national titles, and becoming the champion of Telemundo's Exatlón Estados Unidos.
Before fame
He began his athletic career in Cuba before relocating to the United States. He attended Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami where he continued developing as a competitive diver. He became a United States citizen in 2014 which made him eligible to represent the U.S. in international competition. He joined the University of Miami Hurricanes diving program in 2014. He won his first USA Diving national title in 2015. He won additional USA Diving national championships in 2018 and 2019. He competed at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and finished 5th in the men's 3-meter springboard final. He made his reality TV show debut by appearing on the show Exatlón Estados Unidos and winning in 2022. He then appeared on Exatlón Estados Unidos All-Stars and won in 2025.
Trivia
He was selected as Team USA's flag bearer at the 2017 World University Games. He earned ACC Men's Diver of the Year honors in 2017 while competing for the University of Miami. He earned NCAA All-America honors multiple times during his collegiate career.
Family life
He was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised there until moving to the United States in 2009. He is the son of Rolando Herrera and Barbara Gorrin and is an only child. He became a father in April 2025.
