He killed Warren "the Reading Man" Barnes in Grand Junction, Colorado on February 27th, 2021, after months of planning a killing. He became well known quickly because of body-camera footage and interview clips circulating online in the immediate aftermath of the murder. He was found guilty of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, and tampering with evidence on February 3rd, 2023.
