Writer who has found success in multiple disciplines. He is best known for writing manuals such as Invisible Ink: A Practical Guide to Building Stories that Resonate (2010), screenplays such as Inheritance (2004) and comics such as Lost in Space #1, 2, & 3 (1998).
He made his first film when he was just ten years old; it was called The War, and it featured tiny toy soldiers battling each other. He began working in film in Los Angeles in the mid-1980s.
As a director, he worked on a short mockumentary entitled White Face.
He was born in Missouri, and he grew up in Colorado and Washington. He was the oldest of four siblings.
He worked with Spike Lee on the four-part anthology, Colors in Black.
