Before fame
She studied computer programming and graphic art at a junior college. She graduated from nail school in Japan before moving to Los Angeles in 2005 and developing her skills at a Japanese-owned nail salon.

She received American Influencer Awards in 2018 and 2019. She held her first art exhibition in Japan called Stay Wild! at Isetan Shinjuku in August 2025. She began sharing her designs on Instagram while working in a salon and started receiving messages from celebrities around three months after she started posting.
Family life
Her grandmother inspired her interest in nails by giving her manicures as a child. She gave birth to a son in December 2025.
