Rwandan singer-songwriter best known for his Afro-pop, R&B, and afrobeats music, for winning Primus Guma Guma Super Star (PGGSS) Season 8 in 2018, and for his songs such as "Katerina," "When She's Around (Funga Macho)," "Katapilla," "Igitaramo II," "Saa Moya," "Iyo Foto," "Sawa Sawa," "Pom Pom," "Blocka," and "Tubivemo."

Before fame

He developed an interest in music at a young age and began singing in church choirs before transitioning into professional music. He attended Camp Kanombe Primary School before he attended Rwamagana Islamic Secondary School. He officially began his music career in 2011. He began releasing early songs that introduced him to Rwanda's growing contemporary music scene, with his official debut song being "Tubivemo" in 2013. His major breakthrough came in 2018 after he competed on and won the singing competitions show Primus Guma Guma Super Star Season 8. He released his hit song "Katerina" in 2019.

Trivia

He won Salax Awards in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019, and he won the Trace Awards for Best Rwandan Artist in 2023. He founded the Igitangaza Music record label.

Family life

He was born Itahiwacu Bruce in Kigali, Rwanda. He is a father of two children. He has been partners with Catherine Umuhoza.
