Longtime drummer for Elvis Presley who played with the rock 'n' roll icon for fourteen years. He was nearly in 460 of the King's recordings. He has also worked with the likes of Red Sovine and Ringo Starr.
He performed on the NBC TV special called the '68 Comeback Special. He met Presley in 1954.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
His parents raised him in Shreveport, Louisiana.
