Kenyan contemporary Christian singer famous for songs like "Mbona," "Foundation" and "Saluti." He won the Groove Award for Male Artist of the Year each year from 2009 to 2011 and received the Best Anglophone award during the 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards.
He grew up in poverty and survived by pick pocketing in downtown Nairobi. As a result of these activities, he was attacked and left with a scar on his left eye.
He is known for his philanthropy, having established the Macho Macho campaign meant to assist those suffering from eye problems in Kakamega.
His birth name is Owen Mwatia. His older brother, Rufftone, is also an acclaimed gospel musician. Aside from Rufftone he has two other brothers and a sister.
