Australian actor, documentary filmmaker, and author known for his box office hit That Sugar Film and the climate solutions documentary 2040. He has also appeared as an actor in dramas like Love My Way, Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, and Balibo.
Before Fame
He studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1999. His first onscreen role was in the Australian TV series Going Home in 2001. He appeared in his first feature film The Tracker in 2002. His big break came with his hit documentary That Sugar Film released in 2014.
Trivia
He got a truck license to drive a bus during production logistics for filming children and crews across multiple countries for his film 2040. His film That Sugar Film received the AACTA Award for Best Feature Documentary in 2016. His short film "Animal Beatbox" won Tropfest 2011.
Family Life
He was born and raised in Adelaide, Australia and moved to Sydney, Australia for drama school in 1997. He married Australian actor Zoë Tuckwell-Smith in January 2016. They have a daughter named Velvet together.
