Dan Sugarman

About

Progressive metal guitarist, composer, producer, engineer, and teacher popularly known for being the lead guitarist for the horror metal band Ice Nine Kills. He also served as a songwriter for their album, "The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood." He is host of the free online guitar community known as Sugarman's Lesson Lounge. He's also the owner of the Los Angeles-based Sugartone Studios.

Before Fame

When he was just 16 years old, he launched his music career with the band Fallen Figure. In the year 2009, he joined the band As Blood Runs Black, through which he released two albums. He commenced his solo career in the year 2016.

Trivia

He released his 1st solo album Inside/Out Part 1 in May of 2020. It features six tracks including, "The Unattainable," "Mind Frame," and "The Art of Knowing." 

Family Life

He wrote the tracks for the album Inside/Out Part 1 during the months that led up to his mother, Teri Sugarman, passing away of brain cancer. He was unable to listen to the songs following her passing. Therefore, he did not release the album until three years after.

He is the lead guitarist of the band Ice Nine Kills, which also includes musicians such as lead vocalist Spencer Charnas and drummer Patrick Galante.
