Co-owner and executive chef of the 3 Michelin-star-rated New York City-based restaurant Eleven Madison Park. He served the same positions for fellow New York City-based restaurant The NoMad. Eleven Madison Park was rated the #1 restaurant on the San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017.
He was 14 years old when he began to work in kitchens. He earned his first Michelin star when he was 24 years old.
Upon moving to the United States in 2003, he became the executive chef at Campton Place in San Francisco.
He was born in Strengelbach, Switzerland.
He bought Eleven Madison Park from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group.
