Photographer and photojournalist who is known for his extensive coverage of different cultures in countries throughout the world. He has collaborated and worked for a variety of press outlets including Time Magazine, National Geographic, and The New Yorker. He also received the honor of a Marty Forscher Fellowship Fund for Humanitarian Photography. He shares his photos with his over 50,000 Instagram followers.
In 2008, he graduated with a B.A. of Fine Arts from Ryerson University's School of Image and Arts. He then moved to Kenya where he worked on extensive photo essays. In 2011, he became a contract photographer for Time Magazine and then began working as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany.
He has won several different awards for his work in photography including the Swiss Photographer of the Year award from the Swiss Photo Academy in 2015 and the Award of Excellence in General News at the 2013 Picture of the Year International Awards.
He was born in Appenzell, Switzerland but was raised in Hong Kong.
