Before fame
He attended Howard University College of Medicine where he began developing an interest in anesthesiology after initially considering surgery. He completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and began his residency training in July 2012. He finished his formal anesthesiology training in 2016 and then began working as an attending anesthesiologist. He began working at UnityPoint Health - Central Illinois in 2016.
