About

Member and kingpin of the South Side Compton Crips gang of Southern California who's also known as "Keefe D." On September 29, 2023, he was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and charged with first-degree murder in the 1996 murder of internationally acclaimed rapper Tupac Shakur. He had previously made numerous admissions to various media outlets insisting that he had been in the vehicle from which the shots were fired. However, documents discovered in a search of his wife's home in 2018 ultimately led to the necessary breakthrough in the case.

Before Fame

He was born and raised in Compton, CA, where he became friends with future Death Row Records CEO and convicted felon Suge Knight. He later joined the South Side Compton Crips gang and climbed the crew's structure to become a crime boss. Following the September 7, 1996, shooting of Tupac Shakur, he became a suspect in the investigation. However, he frequently passed blame onto his nephew Orlando Anderson.

Trivia

According to investigating officers, he confessed to the shooting of Tupac Shakur in 2009. However, the admission was unable to be used against him in court due to a proffer agreement. Rapper Yaki Kadafi, who informed police that he could identify the assailant in the 1996 shooting, was mysteriously killed before he had the opportunity to testify.

Family Life

The greatest breakthrough in his case was discovered in the home of his wife Paula Clemons. He was the uncle of the late South Side Compton Crips gang member Orlando Anderson, who was killed in an unrelated gang shootout in 1998.
