Before Fame
She began playing classical piano when she was 4 years old. She was teaching herself jazz by ear, transcribing complex solos, and developing her improvisational style by the time she was 13 years old. She earned an Associate Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in classical piano performance. She then earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Vancouver Island University. She released her first notable single "Take the Memories" in December 2020. She released her breakout single "Just Wait A Minute" in September 2025.
Trivia
She signed a joint major record deal with Universal Music Canada and Deutsche Grammophon in September 2025. She received a £3,000 International Music Scholarship to study for her Master's degree in Music Education at the University of York in England in 2021. She has cited Chet Baker, Nina Simone, Esperanza Spalding, and Chopin to be big musical inspirations to her.
