Puerto Rican boxer who took home the gold medal in the Flyweight division at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, where he was Puerto Rico's flagbearer. He made his professional debut in 2010 and has defeated big name boxers like David Quijano.
He grew up in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico and played soccer for Invasores de Vega Baja.
He was hospitalized in the burn care unit of Centro Medico in San Juan following an accident involving a pickup truck in November 2010.
His parents are Awilda Vazquez Soler and Luis Rodriguez.
He and Luis Pizarro have both competed for Puerto Rico at the Olympic level.
