Accountant, entrepreneur, and former athlete who was known for being the husband of television judge Lynn Toler who is widely known for her work on Divorce Court. He was also known professionally for being as the founder of the accounting and finance firm Eric Mumford, Inc.
Before fame
He attended Shaker Heights High School where he was standout multi-sport athlete who became the first Black quarterback in the school's history. He also served as a team captain in football, track, and basketball. His athletic success earned him a college scholarship to the University of Cincinnati where he pursued higher education while continuing to develop leadership skills. He then double-majored in accounting and finance. He founded his own business Eric Mumford, Inc. after completing his education.

He was also known by the nickname "Big E" which was a name frequently used by Lynn Toler in interviews and tributes.
Family life
He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He was previously married to Dawn Decatur) with whom he had four sons named Rakim, Kareem, Ihsaan, and Michael. He then married Lynn Toler in April 1989 and together they had two sons. He died on December 23rd, 2022 when he was 71 years old.
