Actor who became a star through his role as Roy in the Malaysian teen comedy Gila-Gila Remaja (1985). He has gone on to earn award nominations for his performances in such films as Kanta Serigala (1991), Bunohan (2012) and Longkai (2013).
He made his acting debut in the film Darah Panglima (1972).
His autobiography, Limelight, was published in 2012.
He is the son of actor Hussein Abu Hassan and the cousin of actor Rosyam Nor. He married actress Suhaila Sulaiman.
He appeared alongside Zul Ariffin in the action film Tombiruo (2017).
