Defensive end whose 10 year NFL career earned him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and the San Diego Chargers. As an anchor he helped the 49ers win the Super Bowl in both 1981 and 1984.
Before Fame
He was a second-team All-American defensive end during his senior season for Louisiana Tech University. He was taken by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 1974 NFL Draft.
