Violinist known for her performances as a concert soloist and chamber musician, for her recorded work, and for her many years of teaching.
She was born in Tulsa and began playing violin when she was six and debuted when she was seventeen with the St. Louis Symphony.
She taught at the University of Houston for fifty years and retired in 2009.
She married Ralph Eichhorn, a gastroenterologist, in 1947 and they had a daughter and a son together.
She studied under Louis Persinger, as did Yehudi Menuhin.
