Before fame

She began playing soccer with boys when she was 9 years old before developing through Blackpool and Manchester United's Centre of Excellence. She joined Everton in 2014 and broke into the first team when she was 17 years old. She made her senior England debut in September 2018 during a 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kazakhstan and signed with Manchester United in September 2023 after previously spending nearly a decade with Everton.

Trivia

She made Everton history in 2017 when she became the club's first-ever full-time professional women's player. She returned to the England squad in November 2024 after recovering from an ACL injury suffered during her first season with Manchester United.
