Italian director, designer, and animation artist known for his work on films such as Shark Tale, Kung Fu Panda, and How To Train Your Dragon, as well as comic books Diabolik and Dylan Dog. He's a supervisor director at Blur Studios.
He went to Liceo Artistico Hajech, an art high school. He went on to study Fine Arts at the Accademia di Brera in Milan.
In 2001 he wrote and directed the short animation film The Shark and The Piano, which won several awards on the festival circuit.
Although he was born and raised in Italy, he has been based in California since 2003.
He credits Jack Kirby and Neal Adams amongst his list of inspirations.
