English journalist, television presenter, and former farmer known for anchoring Sky News Today with Gareth Barlow and Mornings on Sky News along with previously spending ten years presenting and reporting for BBC News, BBC World Service and BBC radio. He is also known for his Instagram account where he shares broadcast clips, behind-the-scenes moments from Sky News, current affairs commentary, and posts about his personal life with over 150,000 followers.

Before fame

He began his broadcasting career with BBC Radio York in 2014 hosting the weekly program Yorkshire Farming. He joined the BBC World Service in 2017 and presented programs including CrowdScience and The Food Chain. He joined Sky News in January 2024 and began anchoring his own weekday program in 2025.

Trivia

He sold his Xbox and purchased six sheep when he was 17 years old and eventually grew his flock to nearly 600 before retiring from farming in December 2013. He received the Yorkshire Awards' Countryside Award in 2015 and was named to the Radio Academy's 30 Under 30 list in 2017. He became the first British news anchor to announce the death of Pope Francis in 2025.

Family life

His family moved from Reading, England to North Yorkshire, England during his childhood. He married his husband Charlie Lailey in August 2022.
