Professional soccer player best known as a midfielder for AFC Bournemouth. He has also served as a member of the Republic of Ireland National team and has played for a number of other football clubs including Woking, Wellington United, and Staines Town.
He began his youth career at Charlton Athletic and made his professional debut with the club in 2007.
He aided in Bournemouth's promotion to the Premiere League in 2015.
His sister Carly married fellow soccer player Scott Parker. He and his wife lost their daughter during childbirth in December of 2015.
His Bournemouth coach, Eddie Howe, paid tribute to him in December 2015 after the death of his daughter by dedicating the team's win over Manchester United to him and his family.
