About

South Korean actress known for her work in both American and Korean television. She is especially known for her role as Jiwon Ahn in the Netflix series XO, Kitty, which is part of the To All the Boys franchise. She is also known for appearing in the Disney+ Korean drama Big Bet (Casino) and films such as Good People and Boy Genius.

Before fame

She attended predominantly British schools during her childhood but lived in multiple countries while growing up. She discovered her passion for performing at a young age and began participating in school musicals in elementary school. She moved to the United States when she was 18 years old to pursue formal acting training at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She was signed by agents and managers following a showcase after she graduated and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally. She began appearing in short films in 2015. Her first significant role was appearing in The Dead Girls Detective Agency in 2018. She then appeared in Boy Genuis in 2019 followed by Good People in 2020. Her big break was being cast and appearing in the series XO, Kitty, in 2025.

Trivia

She contributed voice work related to the character Echo from the video game Overwatch during early development and promotional materials. She appeared in the short film Lily Chan & the Doom Girls in 2020.

Family life

She was born in South Korea. She grew up with a highly international background living in countries including Italy, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, and Israel. Her grandfather helped encourage her to pursue acting.
