Honey Atkins

About

Mother of the gospel duo Mary Mary, which consists of Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell. She has appeared on the show Black Love. She starred in several episodes of the reality show Mary Mary, which followed the lives of two of her daughters. 

Before Fame

Before gaining fame through her daughters' work, she served as an evangelist and choir director at the Church of God in Christ.

Trivia

One of her children died from complications of down syndrome and heart complications at the age of six, and she realized she had to be strong to support and raise her other children. She participated in the launch of the My Black Is Beautiful Program for Black History Month. 

Family Life

She has nine children, including Goo-Goo Atkins. Throughout Mary Mary's career, over half of the siblings have sung together on records. While her full name is Thomasina "Honey" Atkins, she typically goes by Miss Honey.
