He is known for being a co-creator of the YouTube channel Spirit Stalkers from 2021-2024 before launching his own solo channel Jake Bruce Official in late December 2024 which has amassed over 170,000 subscribers.

Before fame

He began his content career around 2021 when he co-founded the paranormal YouTube project Spirit Stalkers with his brother Noah Bruce. His brother left the channel in 2024, so he rebranded and began creating content independently under his own name beginning in December 2024.

He is known for blending traditional ghost hunting with modern internet-style experiments including testing haunted objects from eBay and Facebook Marketplace and using paranormal apps. His video testing ghost-hunting apps became one of his most popular uploads and reached over 1 million views. He named one of his cats Spooky. He hosted a live paranormal investigation event at Laurel's House of Horror in Maryland in 2025 offering fans the chance to participate in overnight ghost hunts.
