Before fame

She began her acting career by appearing in the play Dr. Mukta in Dubai with Jaya Bachchan and made her film debut in the Gujarati movie Toh Lagi Sharat in 2005. Her big break came in 2011 when she was cast as Sugna Shyam Singh in Balika Vadhu.

She was born on Leap Day. She returned to CID 2 in 2025 to reprise her role as Inspector Shreya after taking a 7-year acting hiatus.

Family life

She married her longtime boyfriend Nishant Gopalia in 2011 and welcomed their daughter Nirvi in 2017. She posted a tribute to her father on Instagram in June 2020.
