Remembered best as a co-producer of the hit television series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, he is also notable for his production work on the Fox network program Getting Personal and for his directorial work on the Jamie Foxx movie Booty Call.
After studying film at the University of Southern California, he briefly pursued a real estate career before entering the entertainment world.
In the early 1990s, he penned the screenplay for the Tupac Shakur feature Above the Rim and also directed and produced the film.
Before ending in divorce, his marriage to Solange White Pollack produced children named Lael and Logan. Sadly, he died suddenly in his early fifties.
He was a high-level production consultant for The Tyra Banks Show.
