Before fame
She moved to Texas in 2001 and graduated from Leander High School. She earned an associate degree in culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu in July 2016 after beginning work at Walt Disney World restaurants earlier that year. She eventually worked at Houston's acclaimed Oxheart restaurant with chef Justin Yu.
Trivia
She delivered the TEDx talk "A Refugee Recipe for Life" in October 2022. Her journey was featured in the premiere of the documentary series Table of Nations in March 2024. She is also known for founding the culinary services brand Jenny On The Go 365 and for co-creating the African-inspired food brand AfroFire Wings.
Family life
Her parents are Onesphore Sebasigari and Marie-Jeanne Gakona. Her family fled conflict and eventually lived in a refugee camp in Cameroon where she began preparing family meals as a child. She co-created AfroFire Wings with her husband Zeta.
