Before fame

He studied at Christ Nagar and Bhavan's Senior Secondary School, Kodunganoor before he completed a B.Tech. at Malanad College of Engineering in Karnataka. He began releasing music in 2007 through Malayalam film songs with his first credited film song being "Kaavalaai" from Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam.

He has won major honors including SIIMA's 2023 Best Male Playback Singer - Malayalam and Resonance's 2025 Indie Icon of the Year award. Family life

He was born in Vattiyoorkavu, Kerala, and raised in Alleppey, Kerala, India. He married Athira in November 2012. He has two children.
