Basketball coach and educator known for being the head men's basketball coach at East Los Angeles College and for starring as the lead coach on Netflix's Last Chance U: Basketball.

Before fame

He attended Washington Preparatory High School and played basketball. He enrolled at East Los Angeles College and played as a starting point guard and team captain for two seasons. He then transferred to The Master's College and continued his playing career. He was part of teams that won two regional championships and made two NAIA Division I National Tournament appearances. He played professional basketball overseas after college including time in Australia and involvement with basketball programs connected to Brazil. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at The Master's College and spent eight seasons under head coach Bill Oates. He then served as an assistant coach at Cal State Bakersfield before he returned to East Los Angeles College in 2012 as head coach.

Trivia

He has been named South Coast Conference Coach of the Year multiple times during his tenure. He became nationally famous in 2021 when Netflix premiered Last Chance U: Basketball which followed ELAC's program and his coaching.

Family life

He grew up in Los Angeles, California. He married LaShaunda Mosley and they have three children together named Jackson, Moriah, and Leah.
