English painter and sculptor best known for his work in the oil paint, watercolor, and pastel mediums.
He trained in England at the Worcester, Lambeth, and Royal Academy schools of art. He was also mentored in the studios of Jean-Léon Gérôme and Emmanuel Fremiet.
He was appointed a member of the Dutch Water-Colour Society in 1885.
