Jordan Stolz

About

American speed skater who gained recognition at the 2023 World Speed Skating Championships for being the youngest single distance world champion in history. In January 2024, he set the world record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 1:05.37 during the fifth event of the 2023-24 ISU Speed Skating World Cup.    

Before Fame

At the age of five years old, he saw the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver on television and was motivated to try skating. His father cleared the snow from the pond in their large backyard and bought hockey skates for both his son, Jordan and his elder daughter, Hannah.  

Trivia

In the year 2023, he became the first male skater to win three individual gold medals at a single World Speed Skating Championship as well as the first person to win the individual World Championships and World Junior Championships for the 500 meters, 1000 meters and 1500 meters.  

Family Life

He is the son of dental hygienist Jane and police officer Dirk Stolz. He has an older sister named Hannah.
