Known for such 1980s hit singles as "Come into My Life" and "(You Are My) All and All," this R&B and dance club vocalist and songwriter also recorded such early 2000s albums as A New Beginning and Love Song.
After signing with the Sleeping Bag Records label in the mid 1980s, she released her debut single, "All in All," and her first album, Come into My Life.
Her songs were popular in the United Kingdom as well as in the United States; several of her minor U.S. hits, including "Walk Away," "Looking for a Love," and "Lifetime Love," were Top 30 or Top 40 hits on the U.K. singles chart.
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, she studied instrumental and vocal music during her college years.
Her songs were featured on the soundtrack of the 1995, Roger Donaldson-directed science fiction film, Species.
