Australian Dutch-inspired chef who is best known for being one of the head chefs behind the famed Noma restaurant. She has worked for a range of their locations including in Japan and Copenhagen, but is most known for her developmental role in their 10-week residency at Barangaroo in Sydney.
As a teenager she began preparing full meals on her own for her family each week. Her first apprenticeship as a chef began when she was 16. She left Australia at 21 to explore the culinary world of Thailand and Japan before setting in Denmark.
She was featured in an interview and profile in Mismo Magazine where she discussed the future of Nordic cooking and the development of The New Nordic Cuisine Movement. She was also profiled in Gourmet Traveler Magazine in January of 2016.
She was born to two Dutch parents.
She began her career as a chef with Noma after applying for a position that chef and owner Rene Redzepi shared on his twitter.
