Legend New York Giants halfback who led the team to the 1934 NFL Championship and was a five-time All-Pro selection in his 14 years in the league.
He started his professional career with the Staten Island Stapletons, staying there for four seasons before joining the Giants.
At the time of his retirement, he led the Giants in scoring, with 13 touchdowns, 35 field goals and 141 extra points.
He grew up in West Haven, Connecticut.
He and Lawrence Taylor both had their jerseys retired by the Giants.
