Before fame
He began posting early tracks on SoundCloud and YouTube in the early 2010s. He met his future duo partner Gigolo while still in school, and the two competed in an urban music contest which helped launch their careers.

He originally performed under the stage name JeyCi "La Excelencia." He and Gigolo formally joined forces around the time 2015 began, the same year they released "Nasty." They released the remix of "Nasty" in 2016.

His real name given to him by his parents is Jean Carlos Ferreira Suero. He was born and raised in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
